Terms of Service

The agreement between you and ArkiLaro for using the platform. Facilities are the merchant of record; we provide the software.

Draft — pending legal review
This is a working draft. It has not yet been reviewed by counsel and is not yet in force.
01

Who ArkiLaro is

ArkiLaro is a software platform that lets sports facilities take bookings online and manage their front desk. These terms cover your use of the platform — the website, the booking pages, and the dashboards.

ArkiLaro provides the software. It does not own, operate, or run the facilities listed on it, and it is not a party to the booking you make with a facility.

02

Your account

One account represents one person, identified by an email address, and works across every facility on the network. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe and for activity under your account.

You must give accurate information and keep it current, and you must be old enough to enter a binding agreement under Philippine law.

03

The platform’s role — and what it is not

When you pay for a booking, the facility is the merchant of record. Your payment is collected into the facility’s own connected payment account. ArkiLaro never holds that money and cannot move it.

This is deliberate, and it shapes everything below: because the platform holds none of a facility’s money, it cannot refund you, and a dispute about a booking is between you and the facility.

04

Bookings and confirmation

A confirmed booking means the court is held for you for the time you booked, and is off-sale to everyone else. Whether it has been paid, part-paid, or is due at the venue is recorded separately on the booking and shown on your confirmation.

Facilities set their own opening hours, prices, booking lengths, and rules for rescheduling and cancellation. Those rules apply to your booking.

05

Payments

Payments are processed by third-party payment providers into the facility’s account. ArkiLaro does not store your card details. Some facilities collect payment online, some take a deposit, and some let you pay at the venue.

For legal review
Name the payment providers (PayMongo, GCash, Maya), and state how their terms apply to the payer, taxes/receipts responsibility (the facility as merchant of record), and currency (peso).
06

Refunds, cancellations, and reschedules

Because the facility holds the money, refunds and cancellations are handled by the facility under its own policy — ArkiLaro cannot issue a refund on a facility’s behalf.

Rescheduling, where a facility allows it, carries the value of your booking across to the new time. If a payment cannot be resolved with the facility, your recourse is your payment provider’s chargeback process.

07

What ArkiLaro charges facilities

ArkiLaro charges facilities a platform fee — a percentage of each booking the software produced, invoiced monthly in arrears. This fee is for the software and is separate from what a player pays a facility for a court. Players are not charged an account or membership fee.

For legal review
For the facility-facing agreement: state the fee percentage(s), what counts as a billable booking (including walk-ins and pay-at-venue), invoicing and payment terms, and the consequences of non-payment (the Shutter).
08

Acceptable use

Don’t misuse the platform: no attempts to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to it; no scraping; no listing a venue you don’t control; and no using it to deceive other people. We may suspend access that breaks these rules.

09

Liability and disclaimers

The platform is provided as a service to connect players and facilities. ArkiLaro is not responsible for the conduct of a facility, the condition of a court, or the outcome of a booking made through it.

For legal review
This section carries the real legal weight and must be drafted by counsel: warranty disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnities, and how they sit within Philippine consumer-protection law. Do not treat the plain-language summary above as the operative clause.
10

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform changes. When we make a material change, we’ll take reasonable steps to let you know, and continuing to use ArkiLaro after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.

For legal review
Confirm governing law, venue/jurisdiction for disputes, and any dispute-resolution steps (e.g. good-faith negotiation, mediation) before a claim.
